Be of good cheer about death and know this as a truth --that no evil can happen to a good man, either in life or after death.Socrates

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Carol Ann Schubach (Barrett) who was born in American Fork, Utah on August 14, 1983 and passed away on October 23, 2009 from Leukemia at Utah State University Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Her legacy continues through her mother, Constance Freebairn from Los Angeles, California and father Jeffery D. Barrett from Provo, Utah who were sealed in the Manti Temple.  She is also survived by her three brothers Jeffrey V. Barrett,  Aaron Barrett, and Jacob Barrett, and her sister Christie Dean.

She graduated high school in Casper, Wyoming.  Afterwards, she took accounting classes towards an associates degree.  She had great organization skills and had exceptional skills with math.  Later, she worked as an apprentice electrician in Hawaii for her father's business called JCC Electric, Inc.  She was a great electrician and enjoyed doing the work involved.  Carol Ann loved being in Hawaii and spending time together with the family.

For seven years, Carol Ann spent time with her family living on a 72 ft. Coastal Schooner Sailtboat in Hawaii.  She learned how to paint, sand, varnish, and climb a mast.  Together as a family, they shared many times of sailing to Molokai, Lanai, and Maui as a family.  They enjoyed these adventures.

Recently, she helped her parents build an addition to the log cabin in Blanding, Utah.  She helped remodel the kitchen in the cabin and she helped grow a garden.  Also, a the last few months of her life she spent time with her sister Christie and moved to Kemmerer, WY where she met and fell in love with Robbie Tynsky in July 2009.  She was extremely happy to have Robbie in her life as well as her daugther's lives.  She planned to marry him in the summer of 2010, and also planned to have another little "addition" to the family.

Most importantly, her love and legacy will be passed to the ones she ultimately loved; her two daugthers, Lilly & Emma Schubach.  Carol Ann was a very affectionate mother and loved spending time with them.  They were the joy of her life.  She loved exploring and doing something exciting and new with Lilly and Emma.

Carol Ann's hobbies were camping, cross stitching, scrapbooking, sailing, swimming, water skiing, surfing, hiking, being around outdoors & nature, and she loved to read.

Carol Ann was a bright, beautiful, optimistic person who would always go out of her way to help others.  She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend.  She will always and forever be missed.  We love you, Cabby.
